Strange Trip operates a mixed fleet of diesel and electric vehicles (EVs). Our commitment to low carbon trucking and sustainability drives our decision making.
Our diesel fleet includes medium and heavy-duty trucks. Our EV fleet includes BrightDrop cargo vans and Sea Electric box trucks. Additionally, we have twenty-five Tesla Semis on reservation. The Tesla Semis will enable our capacity for heavy-duty freight, port drayage, and, gradually, long-haul electric trucking.

Territory
Strange Trip specializes in commercial trucking in New Jersey and New York City, with additional operations in Maine, Los Angeles, and Texas. Our electric box trucks and cargo vans perform last-mile deliveries of high-value retail freight between select regions daily. We also transport both dry and temperature-controlled freight—via cargo vans and heavy-duty diesel trucks—nationwide and throughout New England.

We are expanding into other areas of the US to meet the needs of carbon conscious shippers. Our team at Strange Trip is prepared to collaborate with you and support your emission reduction goals in the supply chain.
Charging
Strange Trip will determine charging solutions that make economic and logistical sense. If your freight is dedicated to a regular schedule, installing Level 2 chargers behind the fence may be the right solution. We are prepared to actively engage with your team in charging station projects. We offer financing and cost sharing options for capital expenditures. We will assist with selecting the right chargers, engineers and contractors for the project and permitting.

Public DC fast charging infrastructure in the US is expanding and its growth is expected to accelerate. Strange Trip utilizes public chargers on some longer routes today and there may be similar opportunities on your lane. Public charging is not required in cases where (a) our electric truck has sufficient range to complete the run on a single charge and (b) we can charge off-hours at your warehouse.

Cold Chain. Strange Trip will advance sustainable cold chain transportation by electrifying freight lanes for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical shipments – helping shippers achieve their decarbonization goals.

High-Value Retail. Strange Trip serves as a contracted carrier servicing a major high-value retail brand, providing daily store replenishment in New York City and Los Angeles. These operations require stringent driver and equipment security protocols to protect high-value cargo.
